Broccoli Soup
Small onion
One steam bag of broccoli florets
2 c chicken broth
2 cups half n half
1 Tbsp. chicken base
8oz cheddar cheese
¼ c flour
¼ c butter
Dash garlic powder
Dash onion powder
Sauté onion in 1 tbsp. butter and set aside.
Put 4 tbsp. butter in pan.
When melted mix with flour and make a roué.
Steam broccoli. Put
broccoli, onion, 1 cup of chicken stock, and roué mixture in the food processor
and process until smooth.
Place mixture back in pot and add half n half and chicken
stock. Add chicken base and stir until
blended. Put back in the pot and add
cheese. Take off of heat and stir until
cheese is melted. Freshen soup up at the
last minute with the half n half.
